A family business, Arte in Europa was established in 2001 as the sole agents in the UK for a select group of artists living and working in Italy.

Although, primarily, we specialise in Italian art, we do also stock work from other artists from the UK and Europe.

In 2005, we expanded our business to include event organising, PR, and marketing and we now are involved in the planning, organising, and management of;

Art Fairs, Antique & Interior Design Fairs, Music Concerts, Sporting Events and Vintage & Retro Fairs.

After years of visiting, and exhibiting at, art fairs both in the UK and in Europe, it became obvious that there was nothing in our own home town of Edinburgh that resembled any of the events we had exhibited at so, we decided to produce our own.

The Contemporary Art Fair Edinburgh, (Café), took place in the November of that year, showcasing the work of 350 national and international artists on the stands of 52 galleries from around the UK, America, France and Spain, all brought together under the one roof of the Edinburgh Corn Exchange.

For 2006 it was decided to change the name to the Edinburgh Art Fair and it was an inspired decision as the fair now stands head and shoulders above any other art fair in the UK outside of London and is one of the highlights of the UK art calendar.

Catering for up to 65 exhibitors and boasting a crèche, painting classes, printmaking workshops, artist led discussion groups, talks, and live interactive art shows, the fair is an experience to be enjoyed by the whole family.

We may nowadays be better known for organising events, - we have since managed; Cambridge Art Fair, Devon Art Fair, Art Cheshire, Glasgow Art Show and, Perthshire Fine Art Auctions, - but, we are still extremely proud to be working with the same artists as we started out with in 2001.

Over the years, Arte in Europa has grown, as an organisation and a family, and we hope to continue to do so for many years to come.
